The snowbirds are coming!
1. What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?
I really enjoyed the image generators and YouTube. I enjoyed learning more about RSS, Blogs, and bookmarking via the internet.
2. How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?
I believe the exposure I received from this program has allowed me to get up-to-date on some of the newer internet technologies. Unfortunately, they are changing all the time, so it will be a challenge to be up-to-date continuously.
3. Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
I was surprised how YouTube is being used in advertising, book talks, and do-it-yourself training videos. It has big potential for libraries.
4. What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept?
I think one new concept per week is enough for busy librarians. Some weeks covered more than one site and it was a large amount of information to digest.
5. If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you chose to participate?
Yes.

As winter moves in, it is time for many full-time RVers or snowbirds to begin the migration south for warmer climes. There are many opportunities for free camping in the American Southwest. These range from free RV parks run by the city in order to attract tourists to vast tracts of desert where you can stay for months at a time.
